Mount Usambara Climb

The Usambara Mountains, located in northeastern Tanzania, offer a unique trekking experience with lush forests, diverse wildlife, and picturesque villages.

Day 1: Arrival in Moshi or Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha. Meet your guide for a briefing on the trek, equipment check, and final preparations. Enjoy dinner and rest in anticipation of the trek.

Day 2: Drive to Lushoto

Drive to Lushoto, the gateway to the Usambara Mountains. Enjoy the scenic drive and prepare for the trek.

Day 3: Lushoto to Magamba

Begin the trek from Lushoto, hiking through lush forests and farmland. Pass through small villages and enjoy stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Arrive at Magamba for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Magamba to Rangwi

Continue the trek through the forest, descending into the beautiful Rangwi Valley. Pass through traditional villages and interact with the local community. Arrive at Rangwi for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Rangwi to Mtae

Trek through the scenic landscapes of the Usambara Mountains, enjoying panoramic views and diverse flora and fauna. Arrive at the village of Mtae, known for its stunning viewpoints. Dinner and overnight in Mtae.

Day 6: Mtae to Lushoto

Descend back to Lushoto, passing through beautiful forests and farmland. Enjoy the final leg of the trek and celebrate the completion of your Usambara adventure.

Day 7: Return to Moshi or Arusha

Drive back to Moshi or Arusha, concluding your adventure. Enjoy a well-deserved rest and reflect on the trek.
